On the 23rd May – 1st of June Grandmaster Ji visited Riga and gave a seminar for the firs time in East Europe.
Grandmaster had a very intensive visit — city tour, seminar, special trainings. Two students came together with Grandmaster Ji to Riga — Scott Jats (8 dan), head of New Jersey school, and Sean Breadley (6 dan), head of Sietl school.
The seminar was planned for East Europe. It was attended by representatives from Belorussia, Ukraine, Russia, Latvia, Finland, Switzerland and USA. The program of the seminar was formed for instructors and consisted of the following parts: basic techniques particularities in the System of Eight, different kicking styles, meditation and breathing techniques, basic and combination tanbon techniques.
Out of the program of the seminar Grandmaster taught different aspects of Hapkido — meditation methods, use of sounds and vibrations in Hapkido, history of Hapkido and styles that lead to development of Hapkido. Do Ju Nim also showed different objects throwing techniques and many other things.
